I'm starting to plan LO's bday party, and need some ideas. Since most of our friends don't have kids, and the ones that do, the kids are still really young, I need some "fun for everyone" ideas.
-Food and Booze (got to be sneaky about this since it's at a park.... how hard core are they, you think?)
-Bounce House (duh)
And that's all I got.
So, if you were invited to a kids birthday party, and since said kid is super cute and said mom is super awesome, you are crazy over the moon excited to go. What would make it even more exciting? Go!
Re: Birthday Party Ideas
good food and the party not at a park
how old are the kids? is the bouncer really necessary?
Margaritas and chocolate fountain.

Lots of booze and yummy food. Some sort of sweet treat. Lots of places to sit. Music. Not forcing me to play a silly game or sit through a gift opening.
That's what I figured. Oh, and I'm pretty sure almost all the kids will be <1.
Parks are free.
But do you have another suggestion? Doesn't have to be free, but does have to be affordable.
A taco man!
We had C's bday at a park as well and the taco guy came he was freakin awesome! We had beer and wine in a cooler but made everyone put them in cups so that it wasn't so obvio that we had alcohol.
I also had a blow up pool that I filled with plastic balls for the little little kids to play in (like the birthday girl mainly!) That was a big hit!
Ditto YL on the grown up bouncy house
I'd be happy with Taco man and the margarita man?
As far as a cheap location you could try the city community centers
Do you guys have a clubhouse or something to rent? Some are pretty shnazzy and pretty cheap!
Booze.
Food.
Music.
No games.
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
ohhh, taco cart would be rad.
might be lame, but you could bring a frisbee, volleyball/basketball, those kinds of games for adults.

I second having a small pool filled with plastic balls for the little kiddos. Also, B loves bubbles- Taget has a bunch of bubble machines right now- it will keep them entertained for a while.
Have fun!
