gripe water is a miracle!
emma gets really upset/colic-y twice a day. usually for about an hour, sometimes two. she screams and cries and you can tell she's in pain. gas drops/mylicon would sometimes help a little.
tried gripe water and she went from screaming to cooing and almost asleep in about a minute. we used it again later and she went from screaming and crying to just wimpering for 5-10 minutes.
the best part is it allowed me to give emma to dh. she usually gets so upset that she only wants me. that hurts dh's feelings and frustrates him. last night, she let dh hold her and play with her for more than a few minutes.....she was happier than usual!
dh commented that gripe water may make it possible for him to consider another child. colic is rough stuff! i was able to do dishes and get laundry started without her needing me. WOOHOO!
