Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
I think that all of you MT nesties need to come here more often. Now, tell me something random about yourself and about your family or goals or something. Whatever you like. We need to spice this place up!
Re: Shiiit, MT Board!
I don't normally check out the boards because with all the abbreviations I have no idea what anyone is talking about most of the time.
I live on a ranch in SE Montana 30 miles SW of Baker. We just moved here from Wyoming in March. Since we are so far from town I have become a domestic goddess and love to cook! Not a big fan of the cleaning part though. My husband is a ranch hand/cowboy and spends most of his days with "the ladies."
I've been trying to start a garden, but the weather is not cooperating. It's been snowing for the past 2 days, before that rain, wind, freezing temps, not gardening weather. I also try to take my dogs out for hikes every or every other day, but as I mentioned the weather is making that difficult lately.
We got married in October and are now trying to have children (besides the 4 legged kind). I am actually 7 weeks along right now, but because of my symptoms there is a chance it won't keep. My husband keeps reassuring me that things will be fine. God has a reason for everything and we must just take it all in stride. We will find out more in June when we go back to the doctor. Please keep us in your thoughts until then.
OK, tell me about yourself now.
I am originally from KS, but have lived in MT for almost 6 years. I mostly lurk around here, one day maybe I will post more.
Agreed! I haven't been on the Nest too much... I've only been married a month, so I'm just getting over the Knot I like in Bozeman & am almost done with a master's degree in accounting. We hope to stay in this area, if I can get a job. My husband & I have a yellow lab, Halle, and we're watching his dad's chocolate lab puppy, Piper...they're super spoiled & the perfect "children" for us. We don't plan to have kids for another 4-5 years (yeah, I"m a planner). Right now, we're looking into buying property & building our own house, but w might have a hard time getting approved for a big enough loan.
I hope people get more active on here- it'd be great to talk to other Montana wives. Sometimes I think I'm too young (22) to be a real wife...I know our marriage wasn't a mistake & we'll be just fine...I just don't feel ready to be such a grown-up. I'm looking forward to chatting with some of you!
hello!
I live in Billings,MT and i look forward to meeting all of you:)
Hi...
Husband and I want to move to Montana, just got back from vacation there. What a beautiful place. What do you think about living there? Love it? Help....:)
Jennifer
I love living in Montana it is wonderful. Skiing is just a short car ride away. I have three dogs and they have so much to do in the summer with all of the rivers and trails... and in the winter snowshoeing and sledding... The only thing I miss are the variety of stores bigger cities have, but then again that is what the internet is for!

Hello MT board!
I live in Western MT (near Missoula) and DH and I are currently job hopping, paying off debt and basically trying to figure out what we want to do with our lives. I was pretty much born and raised here and it is looking like I will be a lifer...with the possiblity of going elsewhere for a year or two. I can't imagine living anywhere but here!
I hope this board picks up a bit, our small group of MTers need to stick together!
Hey Everyone!
I live in Bigfork, my hubby is from Kalispell. We love being in Bigfork because the community rocks! We have alot of fun, have 2 dogs, one is a puppy so that keeps life interesting My husband just got a great job with room to move up and I am transitioning into Real Estate with Century 21 based out of Kalispell. I am REALLY excited to help people find their dream home and help sell their current place to find the next place to call home! I stongly believe that where you live impacts your life and your children alot
Speaking of we're not 'planning' on kids for another 2+ years and want to start our savings for our own home!
Glad I stopped by the board and saw that there are others out there!!
