***Mrs.Darah, deliciousness***

don't know why you didn't get my email with the recipe, but i figured this was sure way for you to get it.

ps- after you make it, invite me over...god forbid you have leftovers while you are away.

 Apple Crisp

Filling

5 to 6 apples, peeled cored and cute up into chunks (about 1 in.)  i like to use cortlands, but i think granny's are good in this too.

1/2 cup sugar

2 tsps. lemon juice

1 tsp. vanilla

1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1/2 tsp. nutmeg

1/4 tsp salt.

then i mix all in the baking dish, those oval 2 quart corningware dishes are perfect.  or you can use an 8 in.

topping

1 stick unsalted butter

1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar

1/4 tsp salt

1 cup flour

1/3 oats

melt the butter in a saucepan and remove from heat, add sugar, salt, flour and oats and mix until just incorporated.  it should look like cookie dough.  crumble over filling and bake at 350 for 50-60 mins until bubbly.

 okay i am drooling now.
