How was everyone's weekend?

We had a pretty good weekend. Friday, I went to dinner with the Ladies. That was a lot of fun! We need to do that at least once a month :-)

Saturday we were supposed to go shopping but by the time my husband was ready, it was WAY to close to Will's nap. I dont mind him sleeping in the car at all, but because of what we were doing/where we were going, I knew he wouldnt sleep for more then 15 minutes so we waited for him to wake up an that turned into "we'll just go tomorrow".

Yesterday, we went to BRU, Verizon Wireless to look at BB's, Ross, Target (got a new vacuum) and then grocery shopping...

What are you all lookin forward to this week? I am looking forward to Thursday when I can get on the plane and go see my friend in NY!! Woohoo!!!

Re: How was everyone's weekend?

  • Sounds like a productive weekend!  How exciting to go visit in NY. Love it up there, but I've only been once.  My husband and I went to dinner with some friends from college Friday, did the Tillman run/walk on Saturday morning, and I was back to work last night. (hospital).  Looking forward to my 1st ob appointment this week, and also a baby shower for a good friend of mine on Saturday.  Hope everyone else has had a fun weekend and looking forward to the upcoming week.

  • The weekend was pretty good.  Went out to dinner Friday and Saturday night, and DH grilled salmon last night, so I did NO cooking this weekend!  Woohoo!  I did, however, spend a couple hours doing dishes on Saturday because our dishwasher is broken (getting fixed today!) and we'd been using it as a holding pen for our dirty, but well-rinsed, dishes until one of us (not quite sure how it ended up being me) had a chance to wash them.

This is a four-day work week for me.  On Friday I fly out to Kansas City for my cousin's wedding, so I'm looking forward to that.

  • Good morning. My weekend was good.

Friday went to the dinner with the ladies. It was so yummy and fun. I agree, we def. need to do that once a month!

Saturday, DH had to work so I went to a co-workers sons 3rd birthday party. It was fun. Then we just hung out and did nothing. lol

Sunday, we laid by the pool and then had our bowling league. I love bowling!! I even bowled a 201!! WOOHOO!

  • It was a good weekend, I am tired from it but a fun weekend. Friday, we went to Game 2 of the Coyotes playoff game. It was fun and exciting, Red Wing Fans are rude and annoying. But it was fun being there, sucks that we lost. Saturday, we went to two Airport open houses. Then went to Gilbert for the Gilbert Village Global festival. It was fun. Never knew about it so it was nice to see different cultural. Then we all went to eat lunch at Joe's BBQ, I love that place, it was so delicious. Sunday, I stayed home and watched game 3 of the Coyotes playoffs, we won that game. Then later I went to game 1 of the Suns playoff's. They lost that game but it was fun being there. Now, I just want to rest. I am so tired today too.

  • I had a pretty good weekend.  I also went to dinner with the ladies Friday night.  I agree, we should totally make it a monthly thing!  It was so much fun!

DH started coming down with the bug I had last week on Friday night.  So he was sick all weekend.  Poor guy, I totally know how miserable he is.  I decided to go shopping Saturday evening.  Headed to DSW & got 3 pairs of shoes (yay!).  Walked around a few other stores, and then came back home.  Sunday I ran errands, (got another pair of shoes while at Target.  I know, a little ridiculous--4 pairs of shoes in one weekend.  But I needed them!  Wink) did laundry, and cleaned.  Pretty exciting stuff!

I don't have much going on this week, so I'm really just looking forward to DH feeling better.  I don't do well as the doting wife when DH is sick.  Mostly because he (like most men) is such a baby. Though, I've been a lot better this time around!

Have fun in NY, Jess!  Can't wait to hear about it!

Now I don't feel quite so bad about the 3 pairs I bought last week!  Here's my justification to hubby when I came home with a big-ass bag of shoes:

"But honey, Macy's gave 30% off when you bought three or more pairs.  It would've only been 20% off if I had only bought two!  So, in all actuality, I saved us money by buying the three pairs and not just two, and by not going all crazy and buying more than three!"

It made sense to me, but DH, who happens to be the math geek in the house, didn't quite understand it.  Maybe University of Illinois didn't offer Shopping Mathematics 101?

  • Had a pretty good weekend. Friday night DH and I went to the county fair with my sister, neice, nephew and parents. We just ate some deliciously unhealthy fair food and walked around checking stuff out. My neice and nephew are 2, so it was fun seeing how excited they got with all the lights and stuff. I rode the carousel twice with Cheyanne and she loved it!

Saturday I went to lunch with DH at the Corner Bakery and had my Lia Sophia party. I ended up getting $110 in free jewelry! SCORE! Then we just hung out at my parent's house and ordered chinese.

Sunday I slept, because I was supposed to work last night (nurse) but ended up getting cancelled! I was happy, because I have my first OB appointment today, and didn't want to be groggy and forget all my questions!

  • I can't wait to be out w/all you ladies, where there's so much going on all the time since the weather's amazing!  We're still near freezing here at night.  Friday I had to decorate & get ready for my BFF's wedding w/rehearsal & dinner & everything.  Sat was of course, the wedding where we froze our butts off!  It was maybe 50 degrees on Sat, but windy, then dropped to 34 degrees by 11pm.  And of course, we were in strapless knee-length dresses!  It was a beautiful wedding, but very very cold!  Then Sun I had to work, Sad

Today I have off though & am enjoying the day w/the hubby, then out to eat w/the in-laws tonight.  Haven't seen them since the end of Jan.  Embarrassed  Not much to look forward to this week as my work sched. is horrendous.  I'll be a zombie by the end of the week!

  • I had a great weekend. Dinner with the girls on Friday night was fun...we should do it more often. Saturday was DH's company picnic in Scottsdale, we had a blast. Yesterday we spent the morning relaxing and then had our friends over for dinner.

I'm looking forward to Disneyland this weekend! Woohooo!

  • Well the weekend started out very stressful, but once DH was rested we had a nice relaxing Sunday. We made cinnamon buns and more biscotti from scratch.  We've been cooking together a lot and its been so much fun!

I feel so relieved now that tax season is over, and I don't have anxiety about coming to work anymore.

  • lol!  Glad I'm not the only one that's gone shoe shopping crazy lately!

I think it should be a required course.  Luckily, DH is pretty good about it.  He knows I won't usually buy something unless it's A) a REALLY good deal or B)  I really do need it.  :)

  • Friday night we went out for MIL brithday. We went to Rio Mirage in Surprise and it was pretty tasty,  I had never been there but it is highly recommended by friends so we tried it.

Then Saturday was Wedding Dress Shopping day.  It was so much fun and thanks to my sister i got the most perfect dress for me.  It is just beautiful, i alo got a headbanf and my veil...  My mom wasn't wanted to try on dresses because she didn't wnat to take away from my dress shopping experience.  lol she is a little sentimental since i am the the youngest "her baby" and getting married.  But i nudged her to try on this dress that caught her eye when we first walked in the store and she loved it so much.  So she got her dress for the wedding too!  Then we went to target because my sister needs a new car seat for my neice since she is growing so fast and doesn't fit in her baby car seat any more.

The Sunday Cj went golfing with my day, BIL and cousin.  So i just really relaxed most of the day. i did some homework and that was about it.  NOw here wear are back at work.

This week i am pretty excited because my cousin who lives in Portland is coming out for a vist so i have a short week at work so i can show her around a little bit.

  • Worked all weekend...but made lots of $$$

Today is my weekend, so DH and I plan to do some home improvement stuff and cooking dinner together.

  • We had a garage sale!  We made $350 bucks!  Yowza!  I already have a new pile in the garage for another one after we move!  Do you ever feel like you can't believe the money you've wasted...

My son had a basketball game on Saturday, then we made a family trip to the place of wonder and enchantment-Target! Sunday was church and packing...

This week is um packing! and packing and...which is no fun with kids underfoot--though my 3 year old walking around in my old way too tall heels is pretty stinkin' funny :)

  • Friday was awesome, really enjoyed dinner with everyone :)

Saturday, we went and "enrolled" at Lifetime Fitness- can I say, "WOW!" that gym is amazing!  Then we had dinner at PF Changs, and took BIL to see How to Train Your Dragon- I thought it was ADORABLE!

Yesterday, I slept in and missed church (whoops) and then went to Isabella's 1'st Birthday Party (again- this was her Phoenix version).  We had tons of fun walking- her new thing- around together!  After that DH and I went to the mall and then to the gym.

This is a short work week for me, only 3 days, so I'm super excited!

Yes! My mom gets a discount on them at her credit union, so I went through her.

  • Friday- dinner was awesome!

Saturday- I drove out to maricopa to see my friend and her little 4 day old baby. can we say baby fever??! DH and I were both tired so we just hung out at home and got some mr goodcents for dinner

Sunday- DH stayed home with little man while I got a ton of errands done. Did some laundry, went for a walk and cooked dinner. We rented The Slammin Salmon last night and had popcorn and m&m's. That movie was pretty funny! It's from the Super Trooper guys.

  • Friday was a going away girls night for one of my work friends who is moving back to New Mexico.  We had dinner at RA and then went to Sandbar...I think we had too much fun because it took me all weekend to recover!

Saturday we ran some errands, then went car shopping.  We ended up buying a 2008 Honda CR-V and I love it!  That night we went to a BBQ at a friends house.

Sunday DH golfed in the morning and I did some laundry.  Then we ran more errands (we finally got a ceiling fan for our living room, thank goodness, its so hot in there!) and stopped by a friends house for a bit.  DH cooked fajitas for dinner and we watched some shows on our DVR.

It was a really good weekend overall!  I'm sad I missed out on dinner with you ladies, we will definitely have to plan another one soon!

  • Had a nice, relaxing weekend which was needed!

Friday: Happy Hour with work friends and then dinner with the nest girls. So nice to meet everyone finally! Stayed up to hang out with hubby (works second shift)

Saturday: short run, dog park, and cleaning. It was nice to be lazy the rest of the day!

Sunday: church, made a really yummy lunch, pool, and laundry

I am looking forward to next week because I am taking Tuesday off to drive to Tuscon with the hubby to visit my parents who will be in town visiting my grandma and aunt and uncle! YAY for four day weeks!
