Nesties-need your help for a weekend visit!

A girl on the NorCal board is coming up to PDX for the weekend with her DH. If you could suggest an intinerary to "see it all" in a weekend, what would it be?

She really wants to do Saturday Market (which I love, so I recommend it!), so planning for/around that on sat. would be great!

Thanks ladies!

  • If theyve never been out here before I would do a day where you drive out to the Gorge, take part of the old Columbia River Highway and stop by a few of the gorgeous waterfalls (Latourell falls, Bridal Veil falls, Wahkeena Falls, and of course Multnomah Falls). Then keep driving to Hood River. That area should be beautiful right now with lots of blossoming fruit trees. You can see those esp. as you make your way up to Mt. Hood. Stop at Timberline Lodge for a snack or late lunch or even dinner, and drive down 26 back to PDX.

Another option would be to head out towards Dundee and check out wine country. But of course Portland itself has lots to offer as well.
