So I just got a thank you note in the mail from my cousin's wedding. She got married in February. It was a postcard. The front had a picture of the bridal party. The back was a pre-printed message, it said: our wedding day. "Just a note to say thank you for the thoughtful gift and for sharing in our blessed day from near and far. Sincerely," All my cousin did was PRINT her and her husband's name!!! I think her mom actually addressed the postcard because the 2 hand writings are different and her mom used her address labels.
Really??? Even D who could care less about this was shocked. He also said don't you feel like a schmuck for handwriting and adding personal details to each note you wrote. I'm sorry but if you are old enough to get married and have a baby in July, you can write a thank you note out.
Just thought you ladies would get a kick out of this...vent over!
Re: Wow...thank you note shock
That's nuts.
I'm actually okay with a postcard and partially preprinted messages (something like "We're Married! Thank you for sharing in our love and joy."). I'm even okay with address labels (did you mean she printed the addresses on her computer?). But you've got to put SOME effort into the card, even if it's just "thanks for the salad bowl! It was great to see you! Love, *SIGNATURE*."
