Mother's Day Brunch/Dinner - Idea's Needed
I'm planning on doing something different this mother's day. Instead of trying to find a restaurant that we all enjoy (at the right time of course), I plan on cooking either brunch or dinner for 7 guests. I'd like to do something really easy but sophisticated for my well-deserved mothers. I"m an average cook (I guess by DH would say) so I can easily follow recipies. I was just wondering if anyone here had any good (tried and true) brunch and/or dinner recipes and entertaining ideas (I realize I need to make up my mind soon).

Thinking of doing cosmetic updates to a dated home? These were our costs.
I think that the first thing to do is decide on brunch or dinner and go from there. That will really determine your menu. For brunch, I like to do things that are light, fit with the season, and have lots of color, like fruit, quiche or frittata, crepes, crab cakes, etc.
Dinner can be anything. I really love this menu for special occasions.
Filet Mignon with Lemon Chive Butter, Saffron Risotto and Fried Goat Cheese Medallion Salad with Raspberry Cream Pavlovas for dessert
