Get Well Gift Ideas...please!

Hey ladies-

Anyone have unique ideas for a "get well/thinking of u" gift to give a client recovering from her umpteenth-surgery from a car accident??
Lady, middle-aged, just had surgery on leg/knee and eyes aren't good either so books are out of the question.

I was thinking food - send food delivered or give a gift card for her to escape the house when she's up to it.
Any local ideas, chicago-based businesses to use?

Thanks for helping me brainstorm...

  • Food is always a good idea, but do you know what kind of food she likes? Maybe a gift card to peapod, not sure if they offer this.

If she likes fruit, maybe you can send her one of the edible arrangements.

    Good Luck

  • I think anything from edible arrangements would be nice!
  • I recently got a set of stationary for a friend in recovery. She got a TON of other gifts and the cards were a neat way for her to send thank you notes.  It may not work since her eyesight isn't so good.  I agree that food would work well.  Another option might be a really strong smelling plant (like hyacinths) or maybe a cozy robe or slippers.
