Tell me about it, please. I work for Bob's Red Mill and currently we only have the traditional quinoa, do the red and black varieties taste any different? Better for you? People come in and ask for it, so I'm intrigued. I may have to venture out to another brand to try it.

Re: Red and black quinoa.
I like the red one but think it looks funny cooked so I mix it with rice (1/5th red quinoa, 4/5 rice) in the rice cooker to add some nutrition and healthiness.
Haven't had the black one.
You work for Bob's Red Mill? Doing what? DH and I make you guys a lot of money.
Love the gluten free stuff!

I wish we could use Bob's Red Mill products - we need gluten free. But it's processed on equipment that uses tree nuts - so frustrating.
I hadn't heard of red and black quinoa - intrigued.
I work in the store/visitors center. They only have one store of their own.
@barkers - I'll ask about to what extent that is true. We make gluten free almond meal and hazelnut meal, but I don't believe they are done on the same mills as the gluten free flours. Gluten free whole grains should be safe as they aren't processed at all, I'll find out for you.
We used both red and white quinoa, I can't taste a difference. I've never tried the black one. We use the red quinoa for contrast in recipes, like our awesome quinoa salad recipe with chickpeas. So you get red quinoa, tan chickpeas, green peppers, red onion, and black onions. It looks so pretty.
Does Bob's Red Mill make fine ground cornmeal? I *hate* buying GMO cornmeal, but the medium grind from Bob's is so gritty, it doesn't make for good cornbread, which is what we primarily use it for.
Thanks - I would really appreciate that! I bought my toddler the gluten-free oats but had to return it because of the allergen warning from the equipment. Our allergist said not to chance cross-contamination from the nuts. I would love to be able to use Bob's. Even the quinoa at Costco has the nut warning on it, as do many gluten-free products. Hard when you're dealing with multi-allergies.
There's fine grind cornmeal and also corn flour.
