I am going to put one of the Sunchips bags in my composter and one in our garden and see if they actually compost like the company says (they say 14 weeks).
Re: So excited for today
Let us know how it goes! I'm curious to see if they do decompose. My office mate had a bag of them the other day, and since she knows I'm green she explained to me why the bag was so loud (it's the compostable material). She then of course proceeded to throw the bag right into the trash can. I thought about asking her to give it to me so I could compost it, but we use our compost on our organic veggie garden and I'm really picky about what goes into our compost. There's no way to know what that compostable material is made out of (probably GMO corn polymer) with who knows what kinds of glue.
