With 2 children, 2 dogs, a cat, a husband and a MIL who doesn't drive, my Santa Fe and DH's Saturn isn't big enough for all off us, so we are in the market for a minivan. I know what consumer reports recommends but I am looking for personal experience.
Thanks
Re: Recommend a minivan
LOVE my dodge caravan sxt. Has power doors which is a plus with a 3yo and 2 babies in carseats. It has stow and go which helps for long trips, groceries, and just storing stuff that you need to carry but do not want rolling around your van. Not one thing I dislike about it. Rides great.
We love our Honda Odyssey. Lots of head room....DH is over 6' and can sit in the middle or back if he wants (can't in the Toyota). I really like the middle row middle seat that can fold into the floor. We ended up stowing it and moving one of the captain's chairs over so it's more in the middle for our baby seat. There's tons of storage in the Honda, and lots of cup holders. We looked at both the Toyota and Chrysler. The Chrysler just seemed too "cold" for me. I felt comfortable in both the Toyota and Honda..loved them both almost equally, but the storage compartments and slightly more headroom in the Honda made our decision.
We did an aftermarket car starter--BEST THING EVER! The car is cool in the summer for DS and will be warm in the winter.
