.....AMAZING!!!!!!

I'm sure you all remember me constantly complaining about her last school that she went to (MetroWest) and her teacher there.  On the first day of school last year she was given a TON of homework for first grade and it continued like that all the way to the last day of school (heck, first day she had to make a poster sized American flag, spelling words 10 times each in alphabetical order, a math worksheet and reading). 

Her new teacher in her new school is very sweet, very laid back, and she has yet to take home homework (I'm so thankful for this because I'm so tired).  She's been very excited about going to school everyday, another first.  She was allowed to pick out which desk she wanted to sit at and they have "specials" everyday...one of her favorites is the computer lab.  She's made a lot of new friends already!

Beautiful! Woke up early???? Man, it's usually the other way around when it comes to kids going to school! That's great that she likes school so much - sounds like this is going to be a great year for you all!

I'm glad to hear that this year is looking better! Although I'm pretty certain anything would be better compared to last year. I loved computer lab too. Oregon Trail anyone?

OMG...Oregon Trail! I loved playing that. I wonder if they still have that??

Oregon Trail.......You were in a covered wagon going across the plains of Whoregon and had to hunt for food, get stuck in cold conditions, fight off indians and some other little obsticles. It was in like the mid-late 80's I think....long before the days of a mouse! It was all keyboard.

Dang...I don't remember that game at all.  And I think I'm older than you, too.  I may have to see if I can download it somewhere and play it...maybe I'l ask Maddy in the morning

I loved it so much that I actually had it at home. On a floppy disk, on our DOS computer. Yeah, we were cool.

Hey Steph! I'm glad she likes her new school so much.

 That is a TON of homework for first grade. We give spelling homework (NOT ten times each and a math sheet that takes 5-10 min) So the other amount sounds insanely ridiculous.

 Though I believe a certain amount of homework is really good for them. I understand why you are glad she has none being so pregnant! LOL I didn't feel like grading it when I was that pregnant either...haha. : )
