So, DH's car is old (1995) and it's on its last leg. It's been doing its job of getting DH to and from work and that's about it. We were ok with that until we paid my car off.
Well, we now have to register his car with AZ because of our insurance. It will not pass emissions which is why we haven't done it yet. We have until May 11th to register it or Geico won't insure it.
UUUUUUUUUGH, that means, we are off to look for another car.
I really did NOT want to do this as we are trying to buy a house and save for a baby. This puts a huge damper in everything because since his car is so old, it's not worth it to fix the Cadelidic Convertor (sp?) and being with 1 car seems like such a pain!
So, tonight will be our 1st night car shopping together. Oi vey, I'm nervous. lol
Re: Shopping for another car....
umm so you are in tempe so here is the one that would be closest to you
Gilbert, Arizona 85297
(480) 518-8101
I went to the one in Avondale when i bought my car a year ago and it seriously was the best shopping experience ecer! no stress not presure and they will really work with you to get you the best deal.
if you have an idea of what you are looking for you can search their lot online and see what they have and then if you like something you can email or call them and they will pull it off the lot for you to look at that is what i did i had them pull two cars for me, an altimia and the elantra and i ended up not liking the altima at all.
I love car shopping. Okay, well I love cars. The shopping part can be stressful though. Just do as much research as possible on the cars you are looking into.
We're probably buying me a new car when we get back from Canada this summer. I've been on the new car itch for awhile so I'm doing my best to hold off for a little while.
Can't wait to meet my baby boy!
This! i bought my car used last year it was an 07 with a little over 34k miles on it. good luck and i got her for a little over 10k what what! lol
Yeah, my Mazda was a 2008 with only 21K on it and we got it for 12K so we got a good deal... they are out there.. dont rush into anything and look around.
Something I learned here though, that they dont do in MA or NH.. That included in the fees you pay to the dealorship, is your first year car registration. So you wont have to come up with that after your 30 day plates run out... :-) I did not know that and was super happy when the guy told us that when we were signing papers :-)
Oh yeah, we are definitely doing used for sure. We can't afford brand new! lol
No....I didn't think (well, I was hoping) we'd need to buy another one for another 2 years but we had been talking about an SUV for when we have kids. So, I think we'll look into a small SUV if we can find a decently priced one.
