Organic Pesticides?

I hate to use chemical pesticides in my vegetable and herb gardens - do you know of any alternatives?

Captain Jacks Bug Brew.  Most local garden stores carry it.

I'm looking for something to get rid of that stupid ground ivy and dandilions. My dad keeps telling me to get some harsh chemical stuff, and I tell him that I would like a friendlier product. Would this work for those weeds?

Hmmm...I don't think so. I've heard about vinegar working well for that, but I don't know the details.

The only thing i've found that works for either of these is ripping them out by hand.  Bummer, i know... i think the previous owner of our house was a dandelion farmer.
