looking for a good outdoor location to take family photos?

We are looking for a location such as a park- where we can have some family photos taken. I am looking for any suggestions that anyone might know of in the central ohio/lancaster area. Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks!

Re: looking for a good outdoor location to take family photos?

  • Hey there!

Not so much in Lancaster, but some that came to mind:

-Creekside in Gahanna (these turn out really well!)

    -Inniswood Gardens in Westerville

    -Columbus Zoo

    -Franklin Park Conservatory

I would call before going anywhere (I know for a fact that Creekside you *don't*) just to be sure there's no special events happening and to be courteous to the management.

  • I agree that Creekside in Gahanna and Inniswoods are great locations.  Franklin Park Conservatory is beautiful, but a little warm inside (personally, I would end up looking sweaty in the photos :-)  You might also consider the Park of Roses when the flowers are in full bloom.
  • Goodale Park in Victorian Village, also, if you are an OSU fan, campus has some great areas as well. We did our engagement pics there and did shots at Mirror Lake, the Oval, and in the 'shoe!
