So there's a doggie chasing a deer...
... across the Amite River. Yeah. I know, right?
Jamie and I took the jet-skis out on the river Sunday. We were on our way back to the landing and we see a deer swimming across the river. No biggie. The biggie was the dog bobbing up and down, almost drowning, chasing after the deer in the river. Naturally, my doggie parent instincts say jump off the jet-ski and rescue this dog. So I did, and so did Jamie. We scooped the doggie up and he road with me back to the landing, cool as could be with his ears standing straight up in the wind. He's a cute little lab and dachshund mix with a sweet face. I called all the vet clinics to see if anyone had reported their pup missing and rode up and down the road and streets following the river where we rescued him to see if he belonged to anyone there. Jamie also scanned him for a microchip at her clinic. No luck.
His name is Venny. Get it?
