So, I'm definitely going to try the homemade deodorant but I'm also interested in the homemade laundry detergent.
Where do you find all these recipes (I see the blog link below-is the detergent in there too?)? I have been searching high and low for a nice AP free deodorant that actually works and I haven't found a good one.
And I'm going to tell DH tonight, no more paper towels or napkins! haha We'll see what he says about that! Oh, where can I buy a cheap package of rags? My mom used to clean with them when I was a kid but I don't really want to cut up any t-shirts (we got rid of all our old clothing when we moved here).
Thanks, Jaye!
Re: Jaye**
Most of them I find by googling
Here is a quick search I found for a few different laundry soap recipes http://www.thefrugalshopper.com/articles/detergent.shtml and has both liquid and powder options.
The majority of my rags came from clearance packages of washcloths! We have a huge stack. But you can also use old T-shirts/sheets and old socks are useful for dusting as well.
there are a lot of options out there, you just need to get a little creative. Good luck with DH - I was lucky, mine didn't put up a fight.
This I don't know, because we have a regular right now. I would do a search for HE laundry soap and see what you find. There are a lot of people out there that do this, so I'm sure you'll have luck!
if you end up not being able to make them because of the HE check out crunchy clean or rockin' green
