I really hate that...I would love to be able to find something I would really enjoy considering I'm waaaay too stressed at my current job.
I actually have a "real" answer though. I just finished up a career development class and my professor is a career consultant here in Austin. A couple of the things I found out in that class are 1) about 85% of the open positions are not advertised in the paper, jobsites etc and 2) Austin is a "who you know" market so networking is very important...bleh
Agreed.. my last two jobs (at the same company) were a result of networking.
Course, I'm always happy and willing to pull anyone into networking with me if anyone wants to. :P
and it always seems when I want to buy something specific, I can't find it! i.e. I always seem to see cute dresses and think, "I wish I had a wedding to attend soon!" then, when we actually have a wedding coming up, I can't find anything.
GL w/job search, it's no fun.
