Where do you buy your bulbs for fall planting?
I want to put some tulips and daffodils in this fall. Where do you buy your bulbs?
Re: Where do you buy your bulbs for fall planting?
First you don't want to buy them yet... if places are selling them now... not sure why... it is too early. Spring blooms you plant in the fall.... Summer blooms you plant in the spring and fall blooms you plant in the summer....
Secondly you can buy them from anywhere, Walmart, local nursery, Target, KMart... it really doesnt matter....
Just make sure you feel them in the bag and make sure they are not crumbly (means they have been exposed to too much moisture and have rotted out...they will not grow). You are looking for fairly firm bulbs.. then plant more than what you want because trust me squirrels will take some, they will move some... its amazing where things grow that I did not plant. LOL
GOOD LUCK!
