NJ Nestie visiting Essex, CT

Hi, this weekend my husband, my 3 year old son and I are going to be in Essex CT.  My husband is going to be going to a class at the Essex steam train, so my son and I have a few hours to kill in the morning.

Is there things at the Essex station that a three year old would be interested in?  Or do you have any suggestions on where to go?

Thanks for you help,

Kris

The Black Seal is awesome.  It's in the Village of Essex, which is a great little area.  There is a bunch of other little restaurants, bars and sandwich shops.  A great little ice cream place, and some really cool shops.

It's all about a mile or so from where you get the Steam Train.  I'm actually headed down there tomorrow.
