mattress shopping- north side

Hi everyone,

Anyone have good recommendations about where to shop for a new mattress?  My husband likes to research things to death to make sure we are getting a good deal, so we need a place with a good selection.  I see tons around town, but I dont want to waste my time if at all possible!  Thanks!!!

Re: mattress shopping- north side

  • I guess I should be more specific...  anywhere from downtown to the near north suburbs  :)
  • We upgraded to a king right after I moved in with the hubs and we needed to save $ for the wedding so we went to this place. Had great reviews on yelp. Got a king pillow top mattress for like $600 with frame & delivery. The box springs had a few marks on them, but the mattress was in perfect shape. 2 years later and it's still perfect!

  • We got ours from Macy's.  It was... erm... not cheap.  HOWEVER, they have a huge showroom, lots of options and the easiest delivery I have ever dealt with.
  • Honestly, I've always (with the exception of our bed now, which is a Tempurpedic) gotten beds from American Mattress chains and never had any problems.  They usually are always running some kind of sale too.
  • We got ours at Sleep City. Reasonable prices, quick delivery, and great service. I highly recommend them.
