Morning ladies! So I googled yoga studios today, and there are a lot of results. Does anyone currently go to a yoga studio or gym that offers zumba? I went to a zumba class last night with Stacy and it was so so so fun! I'd really like to start doing that a couple of times a week, but the studio we went to is ending their $5 class promotion in May.
Stacy - I'm not sore, and I totally thought my quads would be killing me from those squats!
Re: Yoga Studios/Gyms/Zumba
Stacy - have you ever tried hot yoga? I haven't, but I was going to email you a link to this hot yoga studio that is offering 30 days for 30 dollars to first time customers. Its in Tempe, here is the link:

Oh! I didn't realize it was hot as in temperature hot, I thought it was hot as in sexy hot! Wow, I suck.
A friend of mine told me about this type of yoga (I thought there was a diff. name for it though...) and it sounded excruciating. He said he was just dripping wet after class. I take it back, I don't want to do the hot yoga.
I think I'll try googling dance studios. That might give me better results. All the yoga studios I've seen have been like holistic/healing. I really liked zumba b/c it was so fast paced and the different moves kept it exciting.

The yoga you guys are talking about is Bikram Yoga- aka hot yoga. They keep the room at 105 with 40% humidity. I've heard you burn thousands of calories, but I've also heard of people passing out and throwing up. Um, no thanks!
Check out local community centers as well-- in Chandler you can join Tumbleweed Rec Center (full gym) for $25 a month and Zumba classes are free. They also offer community rec Zumba classes, where you sign up for 6 weeks for a certain dollar amount. I assume Chandler is a little far for you (Tumbleweed is at Germann and McQueen), but I'm sure other cities probably offer the same thing.
Awesome, thanks Erin! Yeah, I don't want to throw up and I HATE humidity! lol
I'm definitely going to check out the Rec Center...$25 a month is awesome when there's Zumba classes too! :-)
OMG!!! I'd go just for all of these classes.....off to look at LA Fitness memberships! Thanks Christina!!
no problem, I love classes as well, so fun!

I go to 24 Hour Fitness and they have similar classes. I love cardio kickboxing and boot camp! When I'm really motivated I also go to the core and lifting classes.
