I've seen one recommended on here, but can't remember which one or where it was. I've been making all our bread for a few months and I'm so ready to get a nice, reusable bread bag for our loaves. I figure today might be the day if I could find a place with free shipping or some other deal for Earth Day.
Anyone got a specific rec or know of a site that carries them? Bonus points if they're running specials!
Re: XP: Reusable bread bag?
Is this for storing or transporting? We just keep our bread in a big rubbermaid tub. I'd like to get a proper wooden or metal breadbox. We don't take very long to get through a loaf, so it doesn't go bad in there.
For storing. I haven't found a good way to store it yet and had seen a rec for reusable bread bags at one time. I don't have a storage container big enough for a loaf and how long it takes us to go thorugh a loaf varies.
I still buy pita bread, buns, etc from the store, so I just save the bags I get from them and use them for things like freezing my homemade bread or whatever. The bags from the pita bread really last for a long time. I should probably just learn how to make my own pita bread, but one step at a time...
Hey, Summerly...I'm looking for one too for our bread. Right now I'm just using a zipper ziploc bag and continuing to re-use but I would love an alternative that fits a loaf better and then fits into my bread box better. If you find something, please post it or PM me or something. Thanks!
