GL thing you thought you'd never do that you now do?
What's something you thought was too far out there for you to ever do that you now do?
I have several -- probably the biggest is no poo.

The Diva Cup took some convincing, but I was a relatively early adopter (I've had mine at least 6 years!).
Biking in traffic scared the bejeebus out of me. I'm a country kid. The idea of biking in traffic still seems kind of unnatural. I'm more confident now, though, and I haven't had any serious incidents yet.
You don't poo? Oh right, that means shampoo...
The Divacup and cloth pads are a big one for me. I used cloth pads when I was a teenager living at home, but gave up on them when I went to university and didn't have my own washing machine.
Eventually I discovered the cup and found out that it worked perfectly with cloth pads -- the pads would catch the infrequent leaks without being completely soaked.
Actually, I think biking 12K to work and back daily is the biggest thing. Five years ago I wouldn't have been able to imagine it.
The diva cup/cloth pads is an easy answer, but it's definitely a big one for me. I switched a year and a half ago and *love* it.
Honestly, eating more locally/organically is probably a big one for me. For a long time, I made excuses about why I didn't want to dive right into that one (we're "green" in so many other areas and way more than anyone I know IRL). But it was really just being lazy/uneducated and I'm so glad we've made all the changes we have. We've come a long way and I feel really good about that.
I'm jumping on the bandwagon. The first time I ever heard of a menstrual cup I was disgusted. I literally thought the idea was disgusting! LOL. I've had mine for going on 5 or 6 cycles now, and I will never go back.
I also think that having cloth napkins, and making my own detergent are two other things that while not that far out, I wouldn't have pictured being a fixture in my life.
Thanks for the great question!

For me its buying organic produce, meats, and dairy. I thought we would never be able to afford it in the long term, but we've been at it for 7 months now and its great. We just cut back on going out to dinner and buying alchohol and stuff at Target and I think its evened out.
Strangly, cloth pads never grossed me out!
I am about to start doing cloth napkins. I never have wanted to before, but now suddenly I want to. I am odd like that.
Family cloth would be the big one. We only do it while we are cloth diapering (I am not going to wash special loads of poop cloth, and I am not going to let it sit and accumulate for a week either- ew).

Probably the fact that nearly everything we have in our house is 2nd hand. I have come to prefer to buy used stuff over new. I have identified vintage furniture that I want, more than anything I find in a catalog or store.
Diva cup.
ETA- oh, and no commercial cleaners in our house. The only thing we have left is Finish for the dishwasher. And I just read in the Consumer Reports that the Method brand auto. dishwashing detergent did the best in their tests so as soon as the Finish runs out, that's what we're getting.
