4/22 Lunch Break

If you can't tell, food is on my mind again lol.

How long is your lunch break at work? Do you have to take it during a specific time or is it your choice? Do you normally bring a packed lunch, go out, or go home for your break?

We get an hour lunch break, but I usually take 30 minutes so I can leave early. 12 - 1 is the standard lunch time here, but we can choose when we take our break, so I usually take mine at 1:00. Most of the time I bring a pakced lunch, but occassionally I will go out. I usually only go out after a big meeting when everyone's going or when DH can make it up here and have lunch with me.

I'm quite excited bc DH is on his way up for lunch today =D.

I may or may not actually have a lunch break...it's still questionable.

When I started I worked 8:30-5:30, and had an hour lunch break. I hardly ever took it though--there was just to much to get done. I'd usually just eat at my desk. In December/January, when it was a bit less busy, my boss would make me leave at 4:30 when I didn't take a lunch break. She then changed the hours of our office, and my hours are now 9-5.

But she never addressed whether that includes a lunch break or not. She has said that when we need to take a lunch we can, but the assumption is that we don't really have a lunch break (let's not discuss the legal issues there). I don't really care--I don't usually have time to take a lunch break, but it's been an ongoing question that we can't really get an answer to.

I'm currently eating popcorn at my desk...I usually bring lunch but didn't today and haven't decided if I want to go out and buy something.

I work from home, so my lunch break is usually however long it takes me to run downstairs and make something.

 And you really didn't ask this, but this is what I have for lunch.  An omlette made of 1 egg and one egg white, diced onions and peppers, and a slice of colby jack cheese with a slice of wheat toast.

7th grade lunch is from 12:30-1:10 or so.  I have lunch duty every other week, so when that happens, it's not really a break.  I bring my lunch from home- no yucky school cafeteria food for me

I work 8:30-5 and can take an hour if I want (but then I only get paid for 7 1/2 hours) or I can take 30 minutes and get for 8 hour day.  95% of the time I bring my lunch.   I usually eat it at the desk or if the office I work in has a break room, I'll eat in there.   Also, if I am super bored I will take the whole hour.
