Propecia? Dermatologist?

Does anyone know of a doctor/dermatologist in the NW burbs who you'd recommend for hair loss?  My husband has looked into Propecia and would like to talk to someone about it, however I've read that not all dermatologists are willing to prescribe it.  I'm not sure how accurate that is, however.

My dermatologist is in Lincolnshire but it's set up like a botox spa treatment center for women, and my husband would feel uncomfortable there.

Any help is appreciated.  Thank you!

  • I am not sure if my Dermatologist deals with it but I like her a lot ... it maybe worth a try

  • I don't know about for hair loss, but I highly recommend this dermatologist - I went to him for acne for years and he is just really nice and his office is SO not botoxy! He has offices in Lake Forest and in Highland Park.

  • My husband's primary care physician prescribed his.  Your husband might want to speak with his first before he goes to a derm.
  • Also, when/if he does get it - you shouldn't handle it.  I remember back when Nick first started we were told that pregnant women should avoid contact with the pills.
