Can someone identify what's growing in my garden? PsIP
We moved into our house late last summer and so this is our first spring in our new house and we're actually able to see stuff pop up and enjoy it instead of the overgrown mess it was last year 
We've redone all our flower beds (2 in back, 2 in front and a long one on each side of the house.).
Anyway, the previous owners had ripped out everything evergreen in the front and replaced it all with perennial stuff. Lots of pretty plants, but the front was absolutely barren all fall/winter and I hated it. So, we've moved stuff around and planted some evergreens in the front behind our pretty perennials to kind of balance things out. We mulched everything a couple weeks ago and I'm just starting to see these pop through.
They're all over one of our front flowerbeds. Just that one; none of the others. I can only assume it's something that's spread because it's all over and I can't imagine anyone in their right mind would have planted it that way Anyway, I know you're going to laugh and say it's a weed, but I really don't think it is. It's a lot "sturdier" than any of the weeds we have and it's confined to that bed. The only other plants left in there are hostas (they are NOT hosta) and some monkey grass. So what is this stuff? I don't know what to do with it!

I can't ID either, but it is a bulb for sure.
AAND even if you pull those up, I bet they will come for years. My DH dug up our garden and pulled up every bulb he found, even sifting through the dirt. Yep, bulbs the next year.
If you don't think you want them there, I think you might be able to transplant them.
I can tell you it's not an Asiatic or Oriental lily, since I grow them and I've never sprouts like that. What zone are you in?
My thought is that of the pp - it must be a bulb. But I'm not sure what kind. Maybe a gladiola, but I can't be sure. Or maybe Liatris. Both are summer flowering bulbs and would start to put out shoots.
hmmm. i don't think it's a gladiola - if i remember correctly, glad leaves look more like irises (kind of blade like). but i'm a newbie and i could be totally wrong!
That's why I said I can't be sure. When I looked on Dave's Garden for a picture, the blades looked like they could be a gladiola, but it's hard to tell with newly emerging shoots.
its def not a gladiola - pp is correct, they come up as blades, looks like some sort of lily, calla maybe?
This would be my guess. They have beautifully fragrant flowers. Wlking into our house at the moment is an incredible experience.
