Are y'all going green? We've been making small changes for a while now, I actually just posted about it on my blog, but I'm trying to think of something new to add to my daily routine to help the planet. I'm thinking homemade laundry detergent.

I try to be as green as I can. I just moved to an area that Phoenix Recycling services so I will sign up with them, but before this new house, I would bring my recyclables to Allied Waste Recycling (in Metairie) - just couldn't throw it all into a landfill!
We also use all non-toxic cleansers at home (primarily Method or 7th Gen)
And I have soooo many canvas bags (probably to a fault!). But I try to never get plastic bags at the grocery/Target.
Homemade detergent? I have never heard of anyone making it...what ingredients do you use?
Better late than never is always fine with me!
Great to know there's going to be a recycling center nearby!
She said something about Borax and Ivory soap. I'm going to get the directions from her and see what I can do. I guess it can't hurt to try!
