My sweet, old neighbor gave me a box of daffodils yesterday that she's pulled up from her garden, because she had too many and they were too crowded. Obviously, they've already bloomed and now they just look like tall grass. She said I could plant them now and maybe they will come back next year, or I can dry the roots/bulbs and plant them in the fall. Which option do you think is best? (They're free flowers, so if I kill them it's not that big of a deal.)
Re: Daffodil Advice
I'd plop them in the ground now. They'll stumble along the rest of the season, but hopefully the remaining greenery will take in some nutrients to feed the bulbs for next year.

Definitely put them into the ground now. You can even space them out a bit, as they may multiply next year. My daffodils are just now blooming, finally! They are on the shady side of the house. So if you want them to bloom early, plant in full sun!
Good luck!
