My parents need a place to board their poodle when the come in for my wedding in September.
Any recs? They're VERY pre-cautious with her, probably more than they were with me when I was a kid!!
Re: Dog boarding recs?
i wish i had a recommendation to give you. cali's always gone w/ us. hopefully someone else will have ideas for your parents.
good luck w/ the search.
Camp Run a Mutt if she gets along with other dogs. They use cage-free boarding. During the day, the dogs play in the most awesome daycare, and at night there is someone with them the entire night. The guy sleeps on his bed, and the dogs on theirs around him. We use them for daycare and couldn't be happier. Their ratings are amazing and we researched quite extensively before leaving him. Tell your parents to log onto their site during the day, and they can view the MuttCams to see how the dogs are treated during at the daycare.

If the dog is not good with other dogs, then I highly recommend Sleep Over Rover. It's not a facility, but a company that thoroughly background checks potential sitters. The dog is in their home, sleeps next to the sitter, they have a fenced yard and are home all day long. While our dog loves other dogs, we use Christine from this company and love her. Camp Run a Mutt is wonderful, but we prefer to have him in a home setting and he's developed quite a bond to her. Good luck and congrats!
