reusable swiffer cloths?

I'd like to buy reusable cloths (wet and dry) for my swifter. I'm looking on etsy, but was wondering if anyone had one to recommend or a fabric they use that they like.
TIA!

Re: reusable swiffer cloths?

  • We use a microfiber dust mop for dusting and washing our hard work floors, and it goes in the wash with towels when it needs a cleaning. Taking the same idea, I would say microfiber dust cloths would be perfectly sized for a Swiffer (the ones that are a little fuzzy feeling rather than a smooth microfiber). I've never thought to use them that way, but it's brilliant! Thanks for inspiring me :)

  • I bought an 8-pack of microfiber cloths in the automotive section for cheap (like $6?).   They are a bit smaller than the ones sold in the cleaning section, and they fit on my swiffer mop perfectly.   I use them dry for a quick sweep up of dog hair, dust, etc.   I also use them to wet mop.    They work great.

    Exactly this!

I contemplated buying some on Etsy but found that this works just as well and I also use the cloths for other types of cleaning so they have multi-purposes for me.

  • I just use terry washcloths.  I think they came in a multipack from Target.  They work great IMO (better than the disposable ones).
  • I crocheted my own and have sold a few to family/friends. Works great if you've got leftover yarn!
  • I knitted my own with leftover cotton yarn. They are AWESOME. If you're not crafty, it sounds like the microfiber cloths would work great.
