produce bags

Today i used my new produce bags from Etsy for the first time. They were great, except I would have liked a couple even larger bags for greens. They were also good for rice from the bulk aisle, but I should have knotted the bag shut better, because I had a mini rice spill in my grocery bag.

i'm interested to see if these bags will keep my produce more fresh then the plastic ones.

Re: produce bags

  • Those look great!  Do you know what material they are made from?
  • I have some from etsy seller LoveForEarth that I adore. However, they don't help keep my produce any fresher than regular bags but that's not a problem for us since we eat stuff so fast! Glad you mentioned using them in the bulk bins...I hadn't thought of that (we don't do grains but buy bulk nuts). I've been getting my produce delivered lately so I haven't been using my bags much...that gives them a whole new purpose.

the website calls it a "tight knit fabric". Its has a feel like nylon but its stronger.

  • Awesome!  I'll have to try them out.
