We have a moving date :)
First off, I am SO sorry I haven't been able to chat on here more. Facebook and photography has been keeping me so busy, so by the time I'm finished for the night I end up crashing and only make it over here once or twice a week. I'm going to get better at posting, promise!
Second, yay for a date! DH has to stay in his contract here in Columbus until the end of July. They can't hold the position for him, unfortunately, but the managers out there love him and promised to make a position available for him in August. What a relief! We're going to visit to find an apartment at the end of July.

I still have no clue where we are going to live. I'm really struggling with it just because I don't know anything about AZ. I'd really like to live in a loft apartment when we first get out there, close to DH's office by the airport. He'll be working long hours so we want to be close by to see him more. But we're bringing 2 yorkies with us, so I don't think a loft is logical with having 2 babies under 2 and dogs to take outside.
If we could find a 4-5 bedroom, newer home to rent, a little farther away, but we could stay for 1-2 years while we get to know AZ, then that would be great. I'm lost, as you can tell. LOL! I do know I want to be in a nice neighborhood for us to do things during the day. I'm rambling....
You could try Tempe or Chandler. We live in Tempe right now and it only takes us 15 min's to get to the airport...it's super easy. Chandler is the next town South of Tempe. I really like Chandler. You'd probably have a good chance of finding a house for rent there.
Let me know if I can do anything to help whether it be drive by any houses you find or anything at all. I know I wish I had some help before we moved out here.
Tempe/Chandler is good like PP said. DH works at the airport and it takes 20/25 mins for him to there. I've looked for houses to rent in Chandler (where I am) and I found some good ones too. Ask us if you have any questions.

Thank you both so much! I was looking at Chandler but I had a few people tell me to stay clear of that area. See, so confused!
Here is one in Gilbert. I like that it looks new and the inside has nice upgrades and the description makes the community sound nice.

Who told you to stay away from Chandler? I love Chandler...of course, like any other place, there will be good and bad places.
I LOVE Gilbert...that's where we are trying to buy a house. That's a nice area...kind of by where we have an offer on a house. That house that you put the link for, is really nice too...pretty small for what you said above though. lol

Stacey is right. Although most towns have a "good" and "bad" area, Chandler is probably 95% GOOD. I honestly don't know any bad areas in Chandler. I eventually want us to move to North Phoenix to be closer to family, but if that weren't the case, I'd be moving to Chandler.
Also, as far as school districts are concerned, Kyrene School Districts is one of the best.
I know, right? I can't seem to find exactly what we're looking for in a house, but I'd take smaller and newer, opposed to bigger and older any day

That's true, there are good and bad ones, but so far where I am at, it's good. I like Gilbert too. We almost got a house out there too but that didnt happen. That would be another place we would move to, either stay in Chandler or move to Gilbert. Kyrene is a good district as the pp said.
