Palm Pre Plus?

Does anyone have a palm pre plus? I've been thinking about it for my next phone and read some reviews but wondered if anyone here had one. TIA!

Re: Palm Pre Plus?

  • DH has one and loves it. He likes that he can use it as a Mobile Hotspot.
  • I thought that was a pretty cool factor too. Not that I'd use it all the time but just in case.

  • I have a regular pre from Sprint and I find it to be a good phone, probably the best touch screen phone I've used aside form the iPhone (which I won't get because I hate AT&T). I love the physical keyboard so much, and the apps are great. The pre plus has that mobile hotspot option which I am extremely jealous of.

The phone does have its quirks. Sometimes it gets stuck on a process and slows way down and has to be reset. Also, the charger sucks because its behind this tiny plastic flimsy piece that I always feel like I'm going to break. I recommend getting a touchstone.

  • about the same as these 2.

I have heard they'll probably roll out an over the air update on the pre allowing it to become a hotspot.  They said they'd do that w/ the video camera capability, and while that took awhile, it is there now.

First pre- The charger "door" did come off, but wasn't a big deal. THis one, it's stayed on pretty well.

I had to get mine replaced due to the power button issue as well.

But, overall, I LOVE my palm pre in many ways.  I switched up from a Palm 755p, and while I loved that I could customize what the screens were showing me more on the 755, the pre is so convenient, I love the multiple apps, and the smaller phone.   I've really enjoyed having this phone.

I wasn't charmed w/ the touchstone even though I have one.   I'll probably give it another shot this month and see if I like it more again. (Now i have a 2nd cord and another place to set the phone.) the back of the phone w/ the touchstone is much nicer, but it doesn't always fit a protective case w/ the touchstone back.
