Best Mexican food in town
Please give me your suggestions! We've lived in Orlando for 2 years now and have yet to find anything really great. Places in the suburbs are fine too. Thanks!
Re: Best Mexican food in town
I like Maria Bonita. It's on E. Colonial towards Alafaya (UCF area). They have mucho yummy margaritas
I haven't been, but have heard the Gharibaldi by the Florida Mall is good too.
I absolutely LOVE Maria Bonita's. I ate there almost every day when I was attending the Valencia East. $5 lunch specials!!!
I'm not a fan of Gharibaldi by the Florida Mall... there chips don't come out hot and fresh and there salsa is so-so.
We do like Azteca de Oro locate on South OBT. They have piping hot chips and pretty good salsa!
If you want high end Mexican try Cantina Laredo located on Sand Lake Road (at the end of "restaurant row"). The most authentic table made guacamole around.... was just as good as the guac we had when visiting Mexico!
Good luck & enjoy trying some new places!
We LOOOVE Azteca. My parents say it is the best around. Gharibaldi used to be SO much better before it changed names. But it is fun when they have the mariachi band playing.
Our new fav is Abuello's in the loop.
We have been to Maria Bonita and its good as well. Our usual go to was Garibaldis Fl Mall but its hasnt been the same as of late.
Yeah, Azteca has definitely been our newest favorite place to eat at. I feel like Gharibaldi's use to be good when they first opened, and we gave it a shot recently but it just isn't comparing to Azteca. We also tried Abuelos at the Loop but we found the food to be way too salty. Azteca normally has the mariachi band playing on the weekends, and since its only a 10 minute drive it works well for us! But Maria Bonitas will always hold a special place in my heart... lol!
Margaritas Grill in Avalon Park
It might be a drive for some, but it is totally worth it.
