Welcome back Monday...it's been awhile...
I'm always amazed at how quickly the weekend goes. Even when I don't have a weekend packed with activities it's like it passes in the blink of an eye. Kind of a bummer, really. Here's the poll:
1. How was your weekend? Did you get your "to do" list accomplished?
2. What do you have on your agenda(s) for this week? Anything exciting or is everything just the normal, mundane things we have to do?
3. Why are you grateful for having your husband in your life?
Re: Welcome back Monday...it's been awhile...
Happy Monday! My weekend actually didn't fly by as fast as usual, so I was happy about that! Let's hope today flies though...
1. How was your weekend? Did you get your "to do" list accomplished? It was good. I didn't really have a long to-do list, but I was off on Friday and was able to get a lot of cleaning done, so that was nice. Saturday we went to a big outdoor festival with arts and crafts, live music, great food, and lots of beer. Then out to dinner with DH's parents in the evening, and a relaxing, do nothing Sunday.
2. What do you have on your agenda(s) for this week? Anything exciting or is everything just the normal, mundane things we have to do? Nope, nothing exciting this week! I'm running in my first 5K next Saturday, so I have to make sure to get my runs in. We'll also probably do some work in the yard and garden. That's about all...
3. Why are you grateful for having your husband in your life? Omg, what am I not grateful for as far as he's concerned!? He is calm and never loses his temper, even when I'm moody and whiny. He does so much around the house, he is patient and smart and funny and always knows how to make me smile. I could go on... </gushing>
1) My weekend was supposed to be great. My DH and Dog went off to visit the in-laws while I stayed back to attend a baby shower. So I had the house to myself for a whole two days. But it was kind of lonely there without him. And even though my condo is small and cozy, I still felt a little unnerved being the only one home at night.
The Baby shower was ok. Food was 'meh.'
2) This week doesn't pick up to the weekend again, when we're going up to my parents to celebrate Mother's Day a week early. (We're spending the actual mother's day at MIL's.) So we're going to take her out to a nice restaurant for dinner, which should be fun.
I also have a paper due by saturday. Blah.
3) I'm grateful because we're a team. We work together and have fun doing it. I can count on him, and I appreciate the enthusiasm and perspective he adds to my life.
1. How was your weekend? Did you get your "to do" list accomplished?
We did absolutely nothing. I mean nothing. I guess it was nice but... kind of boring too. On no-plan weekends, it's hard for us to stay home and not go out and spend a bunch of money. Our to-do list? There's never much on it. I washed our bed sheets and duvet, so I guess that's a "check" on the to-do list. I also resisted the urge to go to the casino (see above about spending money on boring weekends), so I guess that's another "check." I guess that's about it.
2. What do you have on your agenda(s) for this week? Anything exciting or is everything just the normal, mundane things we have to do?
Nothing big for this week. I'm super-cool, huh?!
We're dog-sitting for my sister's malte-poo (we have been since Thursday night), so that continues until Wednesday night. Also on Wednesday, I have a happy hour for work, so that could be fun. That day is also my friend/co-worker's due date, but nobody thinks she's going to go by then.
3. Why are you grateful for having your husband in your life?
Every reason ever?
1. How was your weekend? Did you get your "to do" list accomplished?
My weekend was great!! My cousin came up with his new baby, and it went really really well. His son is just absolutely adorable & such a good baby! DH took a mental health day from work Saturday night, we got to spend a Saturday together which was a lot of fun! All I had on my to do list was shopping & a pedicure...both were done!
2. What do you have on your agenda(s) for this week? Anything exciting or is everything just the normal, mundane things we have to do?
House cleaning during the week. I'm excited because my little sister (who lives 4 hours away) is coming for a visit this weekend!! And.. (Disclaimer: We're total dorks & love the show American Loggers)...we're going to the American Loggers Restaurant for dinner!! Wooo!
3. Why are you grateful for having your husband in your life?
He's just amazing. Plain & simple. I don't know what I'd do without him.
1. How was your weekend? Did you get your "to do" list accomplished?
Weekend was a bit of a bust. Went to visit DH at the IL's house where he was dog/house sitting - their dog lunged at ours and started chewing on her face so we had to go home. Just about what I predicted but at least DH was there and made it clear to IL's dog that attacking other dogs is NOT appropriate dog behavior (MIL doesn't correct the behavior).
We had a scheduled vet visit the next day so I had Lucy checked out right away and all was fine, thank goodness. It stormed all weekend here so our outside work plans got washed out. We tried to buy our cabinets at Ikea but they can't read flashdrives (who can't read flash drives?!) so we have to go back later this week.
2. What do you have on your agenda(s) for this week? Anything exciting or is everything just the normal, mundane things we have to do? We're buying cabinets this week and it is DH's birthday on Tuesday so we've got B-day stuff planned. We're heading to the cabin for the weekend and I can't wait. Its been a loooooong time since we've been there. I need the re-charge and our dog needs some quality swimming time.
3. Why are you grateful for having your husband in your life? I'm grateful for his calm sensibility. When I am in a tizzy, he's cool as a cucumber which sometimes annoys me but when I return to my rational senses, I realize how helpful that is to have around.
1. How was your weekend? Did you get your "to do" list accomplished?
My weekend was really relaxing and I had a nice girls' lunch with my mom yesterday. I got a lot of knitting done and even started a selfish project for myself. I didn't quite finish all the laundry, but I still consider the weekend a success.
2. What do you have on your agenda(s) for this week? Anything exciting or is everything just the normal, mundane things we have to do?
This week is likely to be pretty boring, work, yoga, etc, but I'm shipping out my first order today, which is really exciting.
3. Why are you grateful for having your husband in your life?
Where do I start? Everything, really, but lately his hugs. He has such long arms that I immediately feel safe and happy.

1. How was your weekend? Did you get your "to do" list accomplished?
It was jam-packed with homework. I have 2 major papers due (one tonight and one tomorrow) I as busy working on those. DH and I went out with some friends to dinner and a movie to help me forget about all the homework. We saw Date Night...it was cute and funny. I still can't justify spending $20 for 2 people at the movies though.
2. What do you have on your agenda(s) for this week? Anything exciting or is everything just the normal, mundane things we have to do?
I have one last project to do for school that I hope to finish up. Then it's all about relaxing!
3. Why are you grateful for having your husband in your life?
I am grateful that when I am running around crazy because my brain can't seem to stop, he is always there to stop me and have me breathe. I am the neurotic busy one and he is the carefree it is what it is kind of guy...I need that and him in my life to keep me sane!
1. How was your weekend? Did you get your "to do" list accomplished?
My weekend wasn't bad. I worked, but it could have been much worse. We were fully staffed, and there weren't a ton of new admits. Yay.
2. What do you have on your agenda(s) for this week? Anything exciting or is everything just the normal, mundane things we have to do?
Hmmm....I'm getting ready for a metric century bike ride Saturday, and instead of eating properly and getting to the gym this morning, I'm hungover from binge drinking and eating pizza; I was apparently decompressing and stayed up until 1:30 watching Army Wives. Now I'm trying to recover......
3. Why are you grateful for having your husband in your life?
Because he's AWESOME!!! Seriously, he can talk my down from almost every ledge, and makes me feel secure. he's always telling me he believes I can accomplish whatever I've gotten myself into, and his unfailing optimism is fascinating.
1. How was your weekend? Did you get your "to do" list accomplished? Not everything got accomplished, but that happens when there are due dates.
2. What do you have on your agenda(s) for this week? Anything exciting or is everything just the normal, mundane things we have to do? Today and tomorrow, I'm wrapping up presentation boards that are due by 2.50pm Wednesday afternoon...that's keeping me very busy. Wednesday night, I'll get back to working on my final art project. Also, my car started shaking this morning and the "check engine" light came on--how wonderful considering I just shelled out 600$ last week to have another part of the car fixed.
3. Why are you grateful for having your husband in your life? He calms my nerves and takes care of me. Don't get me wrong: I can take care of myself. However, it's nice to know there's someone here who loves me and is willing pick up some of the slack.
Thank you!! I'm excited
Happy Monday ladies!
Hope you all had a great weekend.
1. How was your weekend? Did you get your "to do" list accomplished? Weekend was great, we painted the master bedroom, got all the trim done, and painted the dresser. Today we just have to finish 2 other pieces. Then decorate....
2. What do you have on your agenda(s) for this week? Anything exciting or is everything just the normal, mundane things we have to do? Just normal...so far. I may go to a new Zumba class tonight.
3. Why are you grateful for having your husband in your life? He's awesome. We're a team. This morning I woke up and he had found this huge valentine I had made him in college....it was a collage of words I had cut our of magazines etc....and he still had it. He's adorable....and he makes great coffee, never complains about making breakfast, and laughed when I got all excited that David Beckham is up next on The View.
1. How was your weekend? Did you get your "to do" list accomplished? I was supposed to go to a friend's wedding in NJ on Saturday and walk for the March of Dimes on Sunday... neither of which I got to do because I was so sick.
2. What do you have on your agenda(s) for this week? Anything exciting or is everything just the normal, mundane things we have to do? Besides the ususal work stuff, my sis and her family are supposed to be coming on Friday to go to the Yankee game with us on Saturday (you may remember my post a while back on being the best aunt ever). However, the seller has not yet upoaded my tickets to stubhub, and I may have to hurt someone if they don't come through in time!
3. Why are you grateful for having your husband in your life? He keeps me sane. He has such a calming influence on me that even when things might be going horribly wrong (see #2), he comforts me and helps me keep my sh!t together. Also, he is very organized, so we have a great "master plan" in place for getting ready to move.
Super-cute sweater!
Thanks! It's going to take forever, but it'll be worth it once it's done.

1. How was your weekend? Did you get your "to do" list accomplished?
It was a very nice weekend! Saturday was relaxing and Sunday we did stuff around the house. I got almost everything done that I wanted to get done, I didn't get up early enough to make it to yoga yesterday though
2. What do you have on your agenda(s) for this week? Anything exciting or is everything just the normal, mundane things we have to do?
Go to yoga today! Nah, this week is pretty same old. Work, gym, home. On Sunday I'm running my first ever 5k! But that's technically next week
3. Why are you grateful for having your husband in your life?
Because he helps me with things like cleaning out the impassable junk heap in my office without nagging, he knows when I need a break before I do, and he does manly things like hang my diplomas!
Happy Monday ladies!
1. How was your weekend? Did you get your "to do" list accomplished? Not very exciting, but good. It was rainy and colder all weekend, so we mostly hung around the house. Saturday night we went out to dinner and a movie, and yesterday I did a TON of laundry. Didn't quite get everything done that I wanted to, but it's okay.
2. What do you have on your agenda(s) for this week? Anything exciting or is everything just the normal, mundane things we have to do? Just a normal week. I was supposed to meet up with a former co-worker last week re: her wedding stuff. I need to give her the birdcage veil that I made for her and let her see her mock-up wedding program so I can get started on making her programs... only I'm waiting on her to finish the program wording so I can finish the mock-up. Grrr... let's get going! I'm also going to be working hard this week to get everything listed in my Etsy shop.
3. Why are you grateful for having your husband in your life? He sees the best in me even when I can't. He's willing to make huge sacrifices just so I can be happy.
1. How was your weekend? Did you get your "to do" list accomplished? Our weekend was great despite all the rain Saturday. My sister and her family came up to see our new home, Went to taste of marietta, and stuff around the house.
2. What do you have on your agenda(s) for this week? Anything exciting or is everything just the normal, mundane things we have to do? Oh WOW this week I have so much to do. We are having our housewarming party this saturday and I still have painting to do, work is crazy busy for some reason already today, alabama to see clients tuesday, shop for food and liquor for the party and clean. The party keeps getting bigger by the minute so I am getting a little stressed and it might rain. We are at 50+ people now.
3. Why are you grateful for having your husband in your life? He makes me laugh when I get all worked up, he helps around the house (which is big right now considering there is so much to do), he puts up with me when im trying to do a million things at once instead of working on 1 project at a time.
1. How was your weekend? Did you get your "to do" list accomplished?
Relaxing - Friday night I ripped throught the to do list - cleaned out the fridge/freezer, baths for the dogs, cleaned all 3 bathrooms/kitchen/living room/bedroom/basement. Saturday went to Ikea with mom and aunt to scope out favors for my FSIL's bridal shower.
Returned home to "Man-fest 2010" - which involved H, H's best bud and best buds 13 year old son playing video games, eating pizza and doing other manly things - and was made an honorary man for the night by the 13 y.o. so I could play too. Stayed up til 4 with them, then bummed around with the guys yesterday - went to get breakfast and watched movies. All in all, good times were had by all!
2. What do you have on your agenda(s) for this week? Anything exciting or is everything just the normal, mundane things we have to do?
I'm excited because it is my 1 week down time between ending the old job and starting the new, plus it is semester break! WOO! Going to just relax and work on the yard and sleep a whole bunch
3. Why are you grateful for having your husband in your life?
Because he's just downright awesome. Funny, sweet and smart. Plus, he does stuff like let me be an 'honorary" participant in man-fest
Totally didn't get relegated to the other room. Very cool.
