Please rec a program for creating invitations!
I hope I chose the best board to ask this question! I would like to create my own invitations for my daughter's 1st birthday party... I have browsed a number of premade invitations and haven't found what I'm looking for - but more importantly, really feel I could make my own given the right photoshop-type program. There seems to be so many programs out there upon googling, so I was hoping someone could recommend a good one to use. I'd like to be able to use it for future use - holiday cards, personalized stationary, etc. Thanks!
Re: Please rec a program for creating invitations!
I'm a huge fan of Inkscape. It's an open source program that's very similar to Adobe Illustrator.
I used it to create our wedding invites, RD invites, RD invites for a friend and pretty much anything I ever have to print out or make a picture for.
It's free and works on, I believe, any platform. I used it in Linux (Suse) and Windows.

We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
if you're looking for something that is specifically catered to DIY invites and stationery products, you have to check out Printing Press by Mountain Cow. i've used this software for about 3 years now and its really user friendly and easy to learn.
