Come on ladies, we need to liven up these boards! Where did AT go? Did she run out to the Barnes and Noble after my post and never come back? Did any of you check out what I mentioned?? (By now if you haven't already checked it out, it's Mike Rowe, looking all suave and debonnaire (sp)--but with that "man's man" face of his that some of us love so much and it tells us some really "cute" tidbits about him.)
Terp, how is the planning for that massive wedding party beach weekend going? Charch--any updates on that last job interview?? How are the early season gardens fairing for you gardeners? Elissann--how have you done in your C25K quest? KatieG--have you made any progress in your quest to change careers? Anyone else have any big things going on with them that we haven't been updated on? I know there are a bunch of things we've all shared at one point or another, and there's no time like the present to update us all! I apologize if these are all mentioned in blogs, but I really rarely ever check those!

C25K hasn't gone so well this go round. I ended up injuring both my knees, although they are definitely improving. This week I can begin with light walking, which I plan to build up for a month or two and then give C25K another try. But all is not lost, my spurt of exercise jump started my weight loss, I had been at a plateau for a while. I have a pretty high goal set for this year (50 pounds) and I'm am a little bit behind but have already lost 10 pounds!
i don't really have a lot to update on. not much going on with me lately. i have to wait 2 more weeks before i get my new rings. overall, the process is going pretty smoothly and i'm just really glad the insurance company is letting me do the replacement with my local jeweler. i'm getting the exact same setting style, but the stone is .01 bigger and getting it in palladium instead of white gold this time. hopefully the palladium will work much better for my sensitive skin.
not much else to report on. i'm starting a mini side business selling stationery & gift products. it's similar to something like Mary Kay where i'm a sales rep. I'll have a website and everything. more info to come later!

My biggest update is that we're currently waiting to see if the tomatoes DH planted last week will make it. He didn't realize that when I prepped the soil for the seedlings, that I had already fertilized. He went ahead and also fertilized as well--they look like they are burning, so I hope we have at least 1-2 that make it through this rough patch.
On the positive side, our lettuce and peas are doing very well, and while I was weeding yesterday, I noticed a new addition to my garden--a few strawberry shoots!!
Not much new to report with the bachelorette weekend, since we have the lake place reserved I'm hoping it should be pretty easygoing from here. Just have to collect the $ from people
My garden looks..eh. My lettuce & sugar snap peas look good. My spinach has been overgrown by weeds. I need to rent a tiller to get the rest of the garden worked & planted, but I was OOT last weekend and will be OOT this weekend so we'll see if I have time to do it sooner. I still have some green onions in the garden from last summer that taste fine and I can't decide if I want to rip them out or not.
Um, I'm getting married in 60 days.
Which means I should be finalizing all things regarding wedding planning right? We have the big stuff figured out which is a relief.

Not much here. We've been trying to clear out the room we'll use as the nursery. Problem is, that was the room where everything went that didn't fit somewhere else. We picked out paint and bedding, now just have to get a move on.
DH has stomach and back issues. (He has ulcerative colitis, similar to Crohns disease) and it's been flaring up lately. So he's been in a lot of pain, not to mention he may need back surgery, so I've been worried and down about that. Hopefully we can get it under control before the baby arrives, but that is only 4 months away (!!!), so I'm not too optimistic.
We're planning a trip to NJ in May to see my family! Just a short weekend trip, but still. Yay!
DH and I are still living with the in-laws (joy!). MIL took advantage of the fact that DH was OOT this weekend and FIL had already left for their mtn. house to lay in to me for 10 minutes Friday night about how DH is clearly not taking job hunting seriously (he is) and how he's turned down jobs because he doesn't think they're good enough (he hasn't) and how she and FIL are going to put together a list of people he needs to contact and he'd better do it (he has tried to get together with the people she mentioned, but they have put him off multiple times and there's a fine line between networking and stalking; plus, I'd like to know where this list was a year ago), etc, etc, etc. I don't know how I held it together (my heart was pounding) but I did until MIL left for the mtn. house as well and then called DH in tears.
Evidently we bother her when we watch TV in the family room while she is on the computer (though this has never been mentioned) and she wants the guest room back for guests (not aware of anyone coming anytime soon) so we are being banished to the workout room in the basement. DH will get our bed out of storage and we will sleep down there and we'll have to hang out down there and stay out of the way when the IL's are home (which fortunately is only 2-3 days a week).
I like my job at the Pilates studio though of course I wish I got paid more but at least the staff and most of the clients are super nice so it's a fun place to work. I'm making progress in my lessons and I can now do several exercises that I couldn't when I started. I'm also seeing some definition in my abs though I need to add more cardio in order to burn off the fat.
We had an awesome trip to NC a few weeks ago for my birthday and I got to spend a lot of time playing with my niece which was great because she was actually asking to play with me and on other visits I've felt like I wasn't very good at engaging her. Also my aunts came up from SC and it had been a while since I'd seen them so it was nice to spend time with them.

This is the last week of school for me... Monday is my Final and June 4th will be the State Exam before I will officially become a Certified Emergency Technician in the State of NC. It has been an exhausting past 4 months... but I know it will all be worth it in the end!
Nothing new here really. I agree we need to liven this boad back up like it used to be. I miss it and would love to make it my home board again.
DH is in school full time and working full time so I don't get to spend as much time with him and all the housework, gardening etc has fallen to me. So I stay busy.
my doggie is putting more weight on her leg so I think its improving some which is good news.
that's about it. I'm boring. sigh
My job went through some major transitions, but things seem to be settling down now (hopefully). DH is finishing up grad school, hopefully he will be done this summer. Depending on how his job situation goes, we might look into buying a home next spring.
We are going to the beach with a bunch of family members this summer, I am looking forward to that.
We will be moving in June. Hopefully renting a house or townhouse if we can find one in our price range.
I'm still looking for a summer job, and apparently won't know if I have a teaching job for next year until July or August. Durham Public Schools are getting hit with major budget cuts...boo.

I am going back to school this year! I'm doing a Cardiovascular Tech. program which means basically a heart sonographer. I'm really excited but a little anxious, I'll have more info. at the end of May after orientation. I just found out last week I was accepted! Other than that, DH is on vacation this week- we took a quick camping trip to the beach and got back last night. I'm cleaning the house like crazy today b/c some friends are getting married this weekend and we have some OOT guests staying with us for the wedding- friends from college. DH is volunteering at the Quail Hollow Tourn. today and tom. So we've had a busy but fun week off. I am just working at the botanical garden part time and doing the field trip programs and summer camps until I start school. I have also lost 8 lbs. in 2010! I've been trying to "eat clean" most of the time but am far from perfect, and I've been doing p90x for about a month. I feel like i'm in pretty good shape but still have a ways to go!
