I went shopping this weekend with no clue as to what to buy, or even where!
We have a Whole Foods, so that seemed like a rational place to start, but then I got to thinking about how they had let me down in the personal hygiene arena before by not carrying Diva Cup. I decided to go to a local store called Central Market that specailizes in specialty foods, organics, and veggies, and whom also was on of two stores in the whole city of Houston that carried my cup!
I got there and went straight to the small section that features bath products, and I do mean SMALL. I thought that if I couldn't decide on something satisfactory I would get Dr. B's bar soap and call it a day, but I lucked out. There were 2 shelves full of this local soap out of Austin in a myriad of scents. I mean, Dr. B's was practically on the bottom shelf, and this stuff was prominently displayed! You could tell it was handmade by the variation in bar size, and I tell you what, I'd hate to have to stock the stuff because all of the wrappers were loose on the product. Speaking of the wrapper, it was a simple printed band that just goes down the center of the soap.
So in case you can't tell, I'm super excited by my find, and even happier that it's local. I ended up with a yummy lavender flavor that I'm taking for a spin tonight!
Thanks for all the comments on the previous post, it was like one post said, it's interesting how we all take a different approach to the same issue.
Oh and mucho thanks to the two folks that suggested how to clean the soap scum. My bathroom is WAY over due for some tlc, and I will have def be trying these two methods out!
Re: F/U on my shower epiphany
glad you found what you were looking for!
i'm surprised you couldn't find the DivaCup at WF, ours has them!
Did you ask at WFs? The personal care and etc area can be hard to navigate but I'd be surprised to find a WFs that didn't carry Diva!
I wonder if that's the same Central Market we have out here? I haven't been (not really in my convenient area) but its popular.
I heart Central Market. We have a ton of them in Austin. There aren't any where I am now (south Houston).
Not caring about missing RSVPs because there aren't any rocks!

I was surprised too! I didn't ask, at the store when I couldn't find it, but what I did do was go to the Diva website to locate a place that sells them. There were only 3 on the list, CM, REI (an outdoors store), and this single location drug store. That was it!
I'll have to go home and look, I'll let you know!
