For $59-- Worth it, or no?
We will go to the Shedd Aquarium and Field Museum for sure. Others, if they are a "must see"
Re: Chicago City Pass
If you have no family/friends to visit in Chicago that can pick up a Museum Pass for you, then the City Pass may be a good buy.
However if you do have family/friends who are Chicago residents, they can check their local libraries for a Museum Pass for you. The pass is good for up to 4 people I think, and you can visit the aquarium, any of the museums and planetariums all for FREE and is valid for 1 week. You can read more about it HERE.
Another alternative is to request information from the Chicago Cultural Center or visit it when you arrive. (SW corner of Michigan and Randolph) You can get a TON of FREEBIES like tickets, passes, buy one get one frees, coupons, etc for various attractions and restaurants around the city.
So, I'll need just one pass for both my DH and myself? I don't see anything on the site that mentions it's good for up to 4 ppl. If they pick it up now, it's dated, and good for just one week?
We'll be going in October.
Oh, Schaumburg isn't considered Chicago and family/friends would need to be actual city of Chicago residents that live within city proper.
