Help me me pick my Mac

I've been a PC user my entire life, but I think I may convert. My husband gave me an iphone on our wedding day, and I'm absolutely hooked.

I'm thinking about getting a MacBook Pro. Does anyone have one? Do you love it? Hate it?

If I do get one, I'm not sure if I'll go 13 or 15".

Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I have a Macbook Pro. For the most part, I love it. It's an older one, before they started making a 13" model. Personally, if you can afford the 15", get it. A bigger screen and faster processor is never a bad thing.

Definitely get the 3 year warranty on it. The reason I haven't been really impressed with mine is that I've had a couple of hardware issues with it. The warranty definitely paid for itself.

Hope you like it when you get it! It takes a little adjustment, but it's pretty easy to pick up as you go.

  • So I'll def get the warranty - sounds like it's worth it Smile

Good point about the 15". Thanks!

  • I have a 13" MacBook that I bought before they offered the MacBook Pro in a 13" model.  I prefer the smaller model as it is easier for me to tote from place to place. It seems like a 13" screen would be really tiny, but honestly I don't notice it at all.

I definitely recommend AppleCare. I took mine in because it kept running very slow when in any web browser. They gave it a complete diagnotic check-up and ran a few updates that were not automatic and it runs great now.  They didn't charge me a penny.

  • I just got a MBP after taxes came back and am absolutely in love.  I got the 13" and don't notice the difference at all, my PC was a 15" and I think the frame around the screen made it seem smaller and Mac did a good job of making the screen appear huge.  I opted out of getting Apple care because several people I asked said that they won't cover battery issues so I ended up getting it at Best Buy and getting their 3 year black tie protection and they'll cover everything that could go wrong with it.

  • Update:  Thanks ladies! I got the 13" Macbook Pro and am in love!

We're going on our first business trip together tomorrow :)

    Cali here we come!
