oh, JAAAAAAAAAYE

LOL

Ok, I made the deodorant, put it in the fridge and took it out the next day to use. I couldn't get the thing to go up. It's like it had hardened to the sides of the container.

So, I took it out, thinking it would soften but not completely. Yeah, I was wrong, it turned back to liquid.

Am I doing something wrong? I'm DYING to use it. lol

Thanks for all your help! :-)

Re: oh, JAAAAAAAAAYE

  • LOL!  Okay, you just packed it a little tight is all.

Since it reliquified, did it all come out of the container?   If not, I would set it in the fridge tonight for a little while, maybe like 15 minutes, and then start to rotate it up.  Once you get it up enough you can put it back in the fridge until the next time you need to rotate it. (if you pop it up enough you should be able to go a week or two without needing to turn it again) The next time, just take it out for 10 minutes to partially soften and rotate the dial and pop back in the fridge immediately.

I find that it's easier to apply with my hands honestly.  My applicator totally gooed all over me one day when I thought it would be cool enough to leave out of the fridge...so now I just use my fingers :)

If you want to keep it in the applicator it'll just take some practice to get it to where it's not such a hassle to use!

  • Ok, sounds good. No, it's still in the container so I will take it out for a little while and turn it.

What do you leave yours in since it's not in a container? Do you put it on when it's liquid? lol

  • Mine is still in the applicator right now, but I keep the whole thing in a bag because it's so messy...When I make more though, I'm going to put it in a little glass container that has a lid.  I haven't found anything yet, but that's my plan.

I have used it when it's been liquid.  Right now it's the consistency of a really thick lotion, but I'm sure it'll turn more liquid as it heats up this summer.  I figure it melts when it touches my skin anyway, so it's no big deal.  It's really just like putting lotion on my underarms :)

  • Got it! :-) Thanks....I'm going to try to get the thing to go up, if not, I'll put it on like lotion. Geez, I thought it was so simple until applying. haha What a dork, I am!
