Lighting store in the Triangle?

DH and I are desperate to overhaul our lighting in the house. We have done the Lowes and Home Depot search and aren't happy. Does anyone have suggestions of where to look in the Triangle? Google hasn't been much help. We are looking to replace our dining room and breakfast nook lighting and our kitchen lighting. TIA!

Re: Lighting store in the Triangle?

  • There is a lighting store on Peace Street. If you are on Peace Street going toward the Krispie Kreme its on the left. It's between where the Mellow Mushroom is and the entrance to Capital Blvd. Does that make sense?
  • I totally forgot about this place when we were looking - House of Lights.  They have a lot.

For some reason their main website isn't working for me (www.houseoflightsinc.com), but here's a Citysearch page on them:

  • I should have posted on the baby board! Thanks, those are the two places I saw as well, House of Lights, I will have to call because the website didn't work, and the other one is Lighting Inc, but it gets bad reviews. There is also Wakefield Lighting, we saw one piece we like but the store was closing for the day so we didn't talk to the lady.

When we redid our bathroom lighting we ordered off www.lightinguniverse.com  and were really pleased.  Their prices were better than anyone local even with shipping charges.  They have a gigantic overwhelming selection.
  • We got our new kitchen pendants from Accipiter in Cameron Village.  They were great to work with and let us take a couple sample pendants/globes to hold up in our kitchen to be sure they were the size/shape we wanted.

Wow.  Now that's what I call good customer service!
