Re: SFG planted!
What kind of wood did you use for your raised beds? I'm getting mixed messages on whether pressure treated is fine IF you put plastic over it. Having probs finding cedar-but I think that's cause most places are closed by the time I get done work.

Pressure treated is definitely a no-go.
Cedar lasts longer but you could use (untreated) pine or fir or other softer wood if you want to try things out first before making a big investment (cedar is $$)
I think ours was about $50 for the 2 beds, but I had a gift card.
My dad used old redwood from his old deck for his.

all the garden plants came from a plant sale at a local youth shelter, the teens grow them in the horitcultural therapy program. It was very sunny and warm in March/April and the plants shot up! Easily 3-4 inches taller than the plants I got there last year! They sell the veggies for .75 each and 4 packs for $2.00, they raised $13k in two days! I love shopping there, the teens are so proud of their plants and will show you what they grew, and then they help you carry them to your car.
I might try growing from seeds next year but I just love supporting the plant sale and we don't have a great place to start seeds in our house.
