I'm sorry you're so swamped lately. If it makes you feel any better, though, your beret is finished and blocking in the spare bedroom. I'll have to check it out to make sure it's the proper size/shape, but if it is, I'll post pictures later.
The magenta didn't work out--there was about enough of it to make a knit yamaka. So over the weekend, I found some undyed 100% baby alpaca yarn on sale. It's sooo soft, you're going to love it.

Here are a couple of pictures I/DH took last night.
Here it is again on my head to show you how it fits:
The gauge is a touch loose, so if you don't like that or you want it to be lacier, I would be happy to make some changes. I'll be sad to part with that fiber. The alpaca is unbelievably soft!

Great! I made a listing for you.
Cipolla - That yarn didn't come in cobalt blue, but I can look around for an alternative. Do you have a fiber preference?

Ooh, I used a lighter version of this yarn for a shawl for my wedding: http://www.yarn.com/webs-knitting-crochet-yarns-valley-yarns/webs-knitting-yarns-valley-yarns-deerfield/
Is the "colonial blue" close enough to cobalt? Or if you like something like cotton or merino better, I can keep looking.
