I have been switching to green (or greener) cleaning products, but I really hate the smell of vinegar. Is there something I can substitute? I have thought about adding lemon but I can't decide if that would make it better or worse. As you can probably guess I am at the beginning of my journey to becoming green. Any advice would be great.

Here's my favorite cleaner. It has a touch of lemon juice, but the Dr. Bronners makes it smell fresh & minty.

(sorry, Safari won't let me link that)
I never even thought of using apple cider vinegar. That would help work just fine. I am just learning about Dr. Bronners but I like it so far. Thanks for the help. And no worries about the link I'm bad at making stuff clicky myself.
Edited: I just looked up that recipe (formula?) for all purpose cleaner and it sounds great. I'm actually excited to clean with it.
My main problem is my bathroom. Our bathroom has no windows and no air vents (it's gross but it's a rental we can't change it.) The vinegar smell in the bathroom will seriously linger for days.
I promise you'll love it! It's the only thing I use to clean anymore. It's nice to get rid of all those extra bottles of cleaner.
I have the best luck using with with a microfiber cloth.
The yummy smell makes cleaning almost enjoyable.
Two of our bathrooms have no windows either and the scent evaporates quickly. Are you maybe using too much/too strong a solution?
I'm using a store bought vinegar based cleaner right now, but I'm definitely trying what Green Garden (do I have that right) mentioned. I do use just plain vinegar and baking soda on my carpet without a problem though so I guess it is the cleaner and not the vinegar. Huh, interesting.
Thanks ladies for teaching me something new. I announced to my husband over dinner that I am "becoming a hippie" so I'm sure I'll be back soon.
