As I've posted before, we're having a Baconfest party. How the heck do I decorate? I want one kitchy pig thing, but not anything too crazy.
I have a red and pink striped vinyl tablecloth (because I don't want to ruin the table or a real tablecloth with the bacon greasy goodness). Any suggestions how I can decorate?
TIA!

With a baconfest (not that I've heard about one. LOL) you might as well go kitchy!
You can use pink too and funky pig things.
Thanks for replying! I'm at a complete loss.
We're not doing a full meal - I'll have some finger foods and are asking guests to bring a bacon-inspired dish. We'll vote on our favorites and have cheesy gifts (like "patron saint of bacon" statue and junk).
There was a Chicago Baconfest and we missed it. So we're having our own. I definitely want to go kitch - it's such a kooky event. But don't know where to start since a) I don't want to go broke buying bacon things, and b) I can't find very much!
It's going to be pretty small - fewer than 20 people. I'm sure my neighbors will hate me since the house will stink for months! lol

Curly pink pig tails every where.
Paper Mache pig snouts.
Photo copy a package of bacon and use it as place mats. Or different ones and make a garland. You could even make bacon out of craft paper to mix in between.
Pink balloons. Draw a snout, eyes and ears on one side, tail on the other (with a sharpie).
I've been trying to think of ideas for you and I love these ideas. I especially like the balloons! And maybe just taking photo copies or taking some close up photos of bacon, pigs, pork related things and frame them.
World Market has this platter that has a pig on it. And you can make some flower arrangements to still keep things pretty and thrown in something piggy in it. Surely you can find some piggy banks to spread around. Have fun!
