Plan A Fail
Since J is staying in NYC until I find a job up north, he needs a place to stay. We're giving up our apartment at the end of June and our original plan was for him to stay with his best friend who is coming home from Iraq and moving to Long Island. We were hoping friend would move within 1 mile of a train station. His friend is getting a two bedroom and said he wouldn't charge J rent (friends get a stipend from the army for his housing which pretty much covers rent).
Well, he found a plan and it's over 2 and half miles. So we need plan B. J thinks he could buy a foldable bike (he was considering doing this anyway) and bike to the train station. I'm really nervous about this because I used to live in the area and it has some of the worst drivers I've ever seen. So now I'm freaking out a little and checking craigslist for summer sublets.
We'll figure out, it's just crazy because we're only 4 weeks away from moving! Good news though - I have a meeting with an HR person at a financial firm in Boston in mid-June. It's the job lead my boss gave me. Hooray!

Hopefully J can find something. I would go the roomate route with the friend since he can live for free and save more $$$...just make him wear a helmet!
