Up for 7 hours!!

Mason was awake from 10-5:30p took a 30min nap and was awake for another 2 hours before I put him to bed (started the nighttime routine at 7 tho).  I wasn't home with him today, but he seems to be going w/o naps more often lately....Is this the 4 month wakeful period?  Or is he simply starting to be more awake during the day?  He still isn't STTN yet either....we are working on that.........

  • I can't help you. ?Charlotte has always been a crappy napper but her nighttime sleep was usually good until she hit 4 months and we've been in hell ever since. She is currently in her crib talking to herself. ?I guess it's a positive that she isn't screaming which is what she normally does....

  • It's the birthday twin :)  Ben is pretty much a no napper and maybe takes one 1 hr nap a day.  He doesn't seem to want to miss anything going on and has always been this way.  I remember when he was really little and they told us he would sleep most of the day.  That was never  the case for us after the first week.  Hopefully this means night time sleeping will be improving soon!  Can you believe how big the they are getting?  My mom doesn't see him for a few days and tells me how much he has changed.
  • Well here's a positive....I got up at 4am for work today, and he only woke ONCE last night!!  Of course, I was still waking every couple hours out of habit LOL!...but hopefully this is the start of something!

  • I don't know.  Alyssa seems a little different since her 4-month shots.  She sleeps through the night and goes down fairly easy for 2 naps a day, but since those shots, she has been fussy (and she's just not a fussy kid) and waking up at 4:15 am and sometimes 5:15 am.  Thank goodness, she either lays there quietly or goes back to sleep because I read and have been told that unless she's crying, do not get her up for anything (and she takes 35 ounces of bm a day so the kid isn't hungry, either, LOL!!).  Try to ride it out, hopefully with consistency (still putting Mason down for his naps at around the same time and going to bed at the same time), this bad pattern will break.
